Immigration Reform

1. Should those who are here illegally and choose to self-deport be allowed to apply for re-entry without penalties?
I believe that those who self-deport should be allowed to apply for re-entry into the United States. They should not have a formal removal order on their record so they should not face penalties with trying to re-enter. They are trying to do what’s right.
I do not think those who self-deport should be allowed to re-enter the United States. They came into the country illegally and are only leaving because they fear being caught. They should only allow immigrants to enter who have gone through the proper immigration channels.

2. Should ICE be barred from immigration enforcement in schools, hospitals, places of worship, and similar sites?
ICE should be barred from immigration enforcement at schools, hospitals, places of worship, and similar sites. These are places where people should always feel safe.
I do not think ICE should be barred from immigration enforcement at schools, hospitals, places of worship, and similar sites. They are illegal and ICE may not get another chance to arrest them.

3. Should Congress permanently codify the Trump administration’s border policies into law?
I think Congress should permanently codify the Trump administration’s border policies into law. I think they are working and are in the best interest of the people of the United States.
I do not think Congress should permanently codify the Trump administration’s border policies into law. I do not believe tearing families apart and causing fear is what this country should stand for.

4. Should Congress provide a path to legal status for undocumented farmworkers who meet certain criteria, including a history of agricultural work and a lack of serious criminal records?
I believe Congress should provide a path to legal status for undocumented farmworkers who meet certain criteria, including a history of agricultural work and a lack of serious criminal records. Our economy depends on their work.
I do not believe Congress should provide a path to legal status for undocumented farmworkers who meet certain criteria. They still came into the country illegally.
