Solar Installation Day

You will be contacted with the scheduled date and time for panel installation.

  • the installation crew uses Arrivy (similar to Uber Eats) so that you can track the estimated arrival to your home. 

  • please keep all animals locked up during the installation

  • someone 18 or over must be home to allow access to the electrical panel, attic (for wiring), and to sign-off on  the final design before installation begins

  • the installation crew will take pictures of any existing water stains on your ceiling, in your attic so they can accurately compare if any new leaks occur (current railing footings are warrantied for 25 years with only a .03% failure rate). 

  • if the crew has adequate access to the attic and electrical and you are comfortable with giving them access, you can leave.

After all design and preparations are complete, installations normally only take 1 day.

For shingle roofs, wires are pulled through the attic from the electric panel in the house.
Metal Roofs will use conduit on top of the roof to contain the wires for the system.

The connections to the electrical panel will be wired as required.

The inverter, safety shut-off, and batteries (if included) are installed.

Ground Rods are installed to protect from lightening and to form a completed circuit. 
Pictures, LOTS of pictures are taken of every step of the installation.

After the install is complete, the municipality  will inspect and then the utility will inspect. 

This usually takes some time, depending on where and who needs to do the inspection.
